i am finally back. so tired. haha. taiwan trip was awesome. fun. shiok.

day1(25/11):
i woke up at 0430. left house at 0515. reached airport at about 0600. this was the first time i'm boarding a plane. was super excited.my sister had the window seat. i was sitting next to her. but still, i could see what's outside. the flight was about 4h+. watched dark knight. reached taiwan taoyuan international airport. met our tourguide, mr 蒋(jiang). he asked us to call him xiaojiang. a humorous man. he was saying that taiwan has 4 seasons while singapore has only two kinds of weather, hot and very hot. the 1st place we went to was 九份(jiufen). ate some of the food xiaojiang reccomended and went shopping. proceeded to 台中(Taichung). the ride was about 2h+ with a toilet break in between at 新竹(Hsinchu) if i'm not wrong. the expressway in taiwan looks almost the same as that in singapore. common vehicles. toyota, honda, nissan, mazda, lexus, bmw... buying a car in taiwan is much much cheaper. probably about 2 or 3 times cheaper. something different about the vehicles is that the driver seat is on the left. the direction of the road network is also a bit different. see diagram below. went to 逢甲夜市 (fengjia nightmarket) in 台中. the place was quite crowded. a lot of teenagers around. they have those kinds of stylomilo hair style. hahaha. ate some snacks like 大肠包小肠 (small intestine wrapped in big intestine). the small intestine refers to sausage while the big intestine refers to. eh. i also dont know la. it's edible la. hehe. headed to deBAO business hotel. watched cartoon before sleeping. some funny character in a show said '快乐的时光总是一下子就过去了'. very true.

day2:
set off to 阿里山 (ali mountain?) to see 阿里山的姑娘. hahaha. no la. just kidding. on the way, mr tourguide talked about earthquakes. evacuate to a field when there's no building. he mentioned about protecting one's head is the most important. since there are a lot of motorcylists in taiwan, they can wear helmet when earthquake strikes. those sleeping can use pillow. if no time to evacuate, go to the corner of the room. never stay in the middle of the room. the corner is the most stable part of the building. someone asked what if the ground split open when we are in the field. xiaojiang replied: 双眼开开，准备投胎. the trip up the 阿里山 was quite long. on the way, i felt rather threatened. it's because of the fallen bamboos which are sticking out. i wondered if they would pierce through the bus if they were to slide down suddenly. we reached the top and had lunch 1st. the weather is super cold. it was drizzling. took a walk in the forest before we boarded the bus and travelled to 高雄 (kaohsiung). went to 爱河 (love river). took some photo there. had dinner at some restaurant before going to the hotel. metropolitan hotel. as it was still early, we went out to the street and walkwalk. ate. went back to sleep. ZzZzZz.

day3:
a windy day. headed towards south. 台南 (tainan). went to 鹅銮鼻(oluanpi) to see the lighthouse. southernmost tip of taiwan. nothing much to do there except taking photos. oh. and we went to the wrong toilet. didnt see the male toilet behind. saw the female one, but didnt see the female sign. so we all thought it's unisex. hahahaha. after visiting the lighthouse, we went to 海洋公园 or smth like that. i have no idea what it's called. it's like underwater world. there were many people there. mostly kids from some primary school. so noisy. haha. (to bernard and lejun), i took a photo of a chiobu. her name is iva. you can refer to the picture below. hahaha. went to 饶河夜市 in the evening for dinner. ate ate this, ate ate that. ate so many things. shopping at dream mall (梦时代购物中心) at night. largest shopping mall in taiwan. there is a Ferris wheel on level 10. rode it with my family. aiya. if only yongbiao was here with us man. gathered and then went back to the hotel. packed our stuff as we are leaving for another hotel tmr. our luggage are getting heavier and heavier. xiaojiang talk about staying healthy today. he tried burning a piece of potato chip on the bus. the flame just kept on burning. i think he did this to show that the potato chip contained a lot of fats. 健康最重要.

day4:
we brought along 大包小包 up to the bus. pieces of luggage on the lower deck while we sat on the upper deck. we were on our way to 龙虎塔 (Dragon and Tiger Pagodas) in 高雄. there is a tiger and a dragon. -.- lol. stayed there for a while before we headed to 佛光山 (Fo Guang Shan). many golden statues. there was a ceremony going on. monks and nuns were in the temple chanting. left and had lunch at a foodcourt-like place. ordered charsiew wanton mee. it tasted different from that in singapore. the charsiew has been fried. after the meal, we went to Janfusun Fancyworld, an amusement park. 1st ride i sat is diving machine G5. woo. if you have no idea what it is, you can click here to know more.

the ride was really scary. especially when you were stuck at the edge, preparing for the 89° downward chionging. haha. i screamed. but i couldnt hear myself. woo. i thought i was going to die. haha. best ride i ever had. just once and it's enough. hahaha. wanted to try the turbo shot aka space shot, but in the end i didnt. to me, it's worse than the G5. your feet would be dangling in the air. somemore one is brought to a much higher point than the G5. woo. later i die how. hahaha. went for some other rides. my sis and another kid wanted to ride the viking ship. so we sat. we rode the 海神号several times. fun afternoon at the theme park. travelled to 台中 (taichung) for dinner. steamboat at shabu shabu. ate until shuang. woowoo. stayed at plazza international hotel. there's a grand piano in front of the reception counter. watched mr bean and also 七剑 (seven swords).

day5:
today's breakfast was not very nice. the variety of food was limited. went to a tomato farm. so many different kinds of tomato. taiwanese black beauty tomato. european bulb tomato... tomato mantou, tomato juice. everything is about tomato. visited the 石门水库 (Shimen Dam). xiaojiang said there's a 外库(裤) and a 内库(裤). he also mentioned a 三角库(裤) because of the triangular shape. everyone laughed. although there was sun, the weather was rather cold, especially when the wind blows. ate lunch at a restaurant and then took bullet train from 桃园 (taoyuan) to 台北 (taipei). went to mao's house. famous for their lingzhi and honey products. royal jelly. they cost a lot. up to $700+. there are also two princesses of the tribe in the shop. visited 国立故宫博物院 (national palace museum). cannot take any photo there. to view some of the collections, do visit the webpage of NPM. it was a bit boring. haha. visited the 士林官邸菊展 (2008 cShow, an annual event held in the garden of the Shilin Presidential Residence), but it was quite dark already. so xiaojiang agreed that we go there tmr morning again to take nice nice photos. on the bus, xiaojiang talked about children and many other stuff. someone mentioned: 金不笑，银不笑，小孩让你哈哈笑. haha. interesting. spent our night at 士林夜市 (shilin night market). ate and shopped. some of the things there were cheaper than in singapore. but the night market was super crowded. 人山人海. 进退两难. back to hotel. sheraton hotel. other kids came over to my room. we played uno. had a really fun time. it's around this time when the kids began to interact with one another. xiaojiang told us his life story today. the darkest period in his life. depression. suicide thoughts. i think i had learnt a lot from this trip. from the tourguide. he should go be a gp teacher. haha.

day6:
went to 貔貅馆. had a mini lecture there about fengshui. hahaha. amazing fact: if you are in the northern hemisphere and you flush toilet bowl, the movement of water will be in clockwise direction. if you are in the southern hemisphere, the movement would be in anti clockwise direction. i didnt know that. it's not so good to have your name (not including your surname) to have 16, 10, 20, 30 (ending with 0) strokes. for example, 陈小明. 小 has 3 strokes. 明 has 8 strokes. add together is 11 strokes. there's no 16, or anything ending with 0. the master also mentioned some not so good characters (all 10 strokes). 疾病，匪徒，鬼，衰... the best is the have 4, 9 or 13 strokes. after the lecture, went back to the garden to see flower, mainly chrysanthemum. visited a tea shop and tasted the different kind of tea. green tea + yakult tasted nice. had lunch at 鼎泰丰. the fried rice is extremely delicious. i will eat it again someday man. we then made our way to taipei101. on the previous night while playing with the kids, i said beijing101 instead of taipei101. -.- so malu. hahaha. didnt get to go up the level 101. just walked around the shopping mall only. then we went to some open space. i have no idea what place it is. just took some photos. there are also several groups of cheerleader there practising. went to some 西门丁 place to shop. but we just wandered around and sat at a cafe to talk. haha. gathered some time later and went to 蒙古烤肉 bar.b.q. sounded nice. but the food there wasnt nice at all. a bit disappointed. at night, we travelled to spring city resort. they got private jacuzzi in the room. there's also a public hotspring outside. cool. but i didnt go. the water got some weird smell which i dont like. haha. the kids and the 2 mj guys came over. we played uno. and ended up playing 'pig'. i had the chance the teach them. hahaha. we had fun. they left at around 2330. i went to bathe and then watch tv. there was this pool trickshot competition. i watched until i 傻 diao. uber cool. slept at around 2. tea appreciation lecture?

day7:
last day. didnt have to wake up very early. slept until 8+. had breakfast and went back to the room to pack my stuff. slacked around and continued watching tv. watched 赌侠II dont know what shanghai stephen chow and also nine ball competition on the sports channel. left hotel. bidded to the tourguide and checked in. ate at some cafe together with the rest. everyone seemed to be addicted to the game 'pig'. we even took out the uno cards and played 'pig' in the cafe. the adults watched us play. waited for some time before boarding the plane. home sweet home.


i had gained a lot from this trip. the tour guide taught me things which i never knew. it wasnt all about eating and shopping. although much time have been spent on the bus travelling from one place to another and it was like 上车睡觉，下车尿尿, i still enjoy the journey very much. beautiful sceneries which you will never get to see in singapore. i'm so tempted to go overseas again. probably with friends the next time if i had the chance. yeahyeah.

went to northpoint with mother and sister. bought more shirts from g2000. hahaha. bought some more stuff needed for the taiwan trip. went to eat ice kachang at yishun central. but before that, i was dragged into the hair salon which my mother always goes to. -.- aiya. wanted to go bernard's mother there to cut de. but i think no need to cut anymore le. haha. headed to chongpang after that. came home and rest. and continued to pack our stuff. shopping today was not bad afterall. probably because mother paid for the stuff. hehehe. that's the good thing when you shop with your family uh.

was looking at the sky at 1.33am this morning. the night sky was orange. it was kind of beautiful. hahaha. soon it started raining. and class95 fm accompanied me until i fell asleep. ahh... i'll be flying tmr morning. fly. fly. and fly. yeah.

shopping spree (longest post)

i havent been using computer for the past few days. was out the whole day on friday. met bernard in the afternoon for lunch before we went to peninsula to shop. bought a pair of sneakers. decided to go vivo after that since bernard secretly wanted to go there. bernard, why uh? hahaha. anyway, we just wandered around. it was a disappointing trip. bernard did not see the person he had been looking for. vivocity is just huge man. we walked until our feet hurt. met aa and jazzy's gang. ate bk. headed back to yishun and played pool at safra. i didnt take note of the time. we played until it was about 11.30pm. it was still ok if i were to go home after home since it was in yishun. however, i had a badminton gathering at changi airport. hahaha. bernard decided to take a cab home and shunbian dropped me off at northpoint. rushed to the bus-stop. i was like siaosiaosiao. dont know whether still got bus ma. 169, 804, 806, 969 and many others came. i just cant see 858. and so i just dumbdumb keep waiting until 12+am. finally one 858 came. it was 858A. was wondering how come got 'A'. then i saw a few ppl alighting and the bus was switched to off service. ARGHHH! 858A means the bus serivce ends at yishun interchange. i didnt know what to do. so just msged weeyang and found out he still at amk. he asked me to just take some random bus to meet him. took 169 to amk and we took cab from there to airport. waa. super hengheng. haha. thanks for cab ride. thank you bernard. thank you weeyang.

reached changi airport and we went to find the rest who were at the viewing gallery. moved to tcc after that to listen to xinghua's and meigui's stories. slacked around and talked. the focus was then moved to me and weeyang. haha. we acted like a couple. haha. why am i always associated with other guys? lol. the rest wanted to take a photo of us. but they scared lejun later jealous. LOL. the one jealous will be bernard lor. hehehe. later bernard kill weeyang how? haha. just kidding la. and the many of them cheated my feelings. they bluffed me that weeyang is migrating. somemore they claimed they were leaving at 2am later. -.- this group of ppl uh. next time dont know whether to believe what they say le. haha. played bridge and a card game called pig. everyone became a pig earlier than me and i was laughing at them. ended up me being the first to reached a lvl5 pig. O.O of course there was a forfeit. i just went up to a guy who using using laptop. stopped in front of him. i pointed to myself and asked 'can you see me?'. omg. the guy was just stunned for a moment before replying me. he must have thought i was a mad person. automatic water cooler incident. only those who witnessed it knew how funny it was. sometimes i wonder how dumb can i get. xinghua saw what happened and he laughed until he fell onto the ground. ROFL. he was literally Rolling On the Foor Laughing. jeremy saw him and laughed too. went to yakun kaya toast to play a card game which we had to shout 'homo'. took 858 back to yishun at around 6.45am.

reached yishun about 7.30am and walked home. bathed and sat down on the sofa to read newspapers. then slept all the way until 1+. ate lunch and then went out again to meet my cousin. shopping again. but this time we didnt go far. just went to northpoint. shopped at G2000. went around john little too. there's this moving out sale at john little. so bought 2 pairs of bermudas. went to espirit too. it was the 1st time i walked into the espirit in northpoint. didnt know that the shop is so big. the tshirts are quite nice and they arent that expensive too. i was so tempted to buy 1 or 2. maybe next time ba. went to arcade. the last time i went to the northpoint arcade was like many years back? haha. play a few games. ate bk again like the day before and then went home. slept quite late at 3+am. was listening to radio on the bed.

packed stuff needed to bring to taiwan today. so tired. aiya. i didnt know life after alevel can be so busy. tmr will be going shopping again. with my sis and mother. SHOPPING AGAIN! man. taiwan trip will most probably be shopping and eating too. arghhhh. i need a break. a break for me to slack. to just sit down, rest and do nothing. just nothing at all.

it's 20/11/2008. alevel exam is finally over. i know i did my best for the exam. yeahyeahyeah. it's time to relax and catch up with my old friends. went shopping with bernard, lejun, jiajun and aloysius. thanks for accompanying me though you guys have nothing to buy. but in the end, i bought nothing too. hehe.

eh. i have no idea why i am feeling a bit stressed. the timetable after alevel exam seemed very packed. i have until 25th to do my shopping. and soon i'll be leaving for taiwan. back on the 1st or 2nd and prom will be on 3rd. i have to cut my hair too. haiya. hopefully the trip to taiwan would be fun man.

watch, eat, sleep and slack

mon: watched madagascar escape 2 africa with my fellow classmates. had lunch at mac before heading back to yishun. for the 2nd time, we ended up going to the new northpoint again. wandered around for some time. reached home. bathed, read newspaper and went to sleep. woke up just in time to watch 十兄弟 (ten brothers) and had dinner at the same time. watched 篮球火 (hotshot) after that. then slacked around for a while. switched on the tv again at 11pm to watch mind your language. went back to sleep at around 11.30pm. in short, friday was watch movie, eat, slack, sleep, watch tv, watch drama, slack, watch tv and sleep. hahaha.

tues: woke up early. printed out other schools' biology prelim paper 1. met lejun, bernard and aloysius. we went to some cafe in khatib to study. i managed to complete just 2 papers. decided to go play pool in the afternoon. so we walked to yishun safra. walked back to northpoint in the evening and from there, me and lejun walked to chongpang. and soon i walked home. i am really tired. my vision turned black for a while during dinner just now. i need to rest. didnt sleep very well last night. woke up two or three times.

yesterday - totally slacking. today - half slacking. tomorrow - no more slacking. and i'll be free the day after tomorrow. yeahyeah.

supposed to go watch MADAGASCAR escape 2 africa today. but it was postponed to next mon. paiseh to all those who had wanted to watch it today. dont worry, we'll get to laugh on mon. haha. went home with aloysius and bernard. ended up going to the new northpoint. the new library looks nice. but there were so many people. loitered around before we took bus home from the interchange. i shall stop here now. i'm going to kill some mosuitoes. keep biting me! 神仙

i met david this afternoon. this big friendly p5 kid was riding a bicycle with his small sized friend behind as the pillion passenger. they were on the opposite side of the road. upon seeing me, david called me. he shouted '神仙' so loudly that some auntie in front turned to look at me. haha. that's the nickname that the yishun SHG's kids gave me. i think it's because i have 11 fingers. lol. i miss those kids man. cant wait for alevel to be over so i can go back to teach them.yeahyeah. i have always thought that riding a bike with a pillion passenger behind is a very romantic thing. provided that it's one boy one girl. not two boys or two girls. hahaha. but when i saw big david riding and his small friend behind, i felt it was rather hilarious. if his small friend was the one pedalling with big david behind, that would definitely be funnier.

the battle

the long awaited battle began. equipped with only a rifle, i felt my way through the dark forest cautiously. enemies were everywhere. just that i cant seem to see them. bangbangbangbangbang... the shooting started. without hesitation, i fired several shots too, hoping to hit any of the enemies. accidentally, i tripped over something and fell. suffered bruises and cuts. no worries. i'm still going strong. i need to be more focused. hopefully everyone is doing fine too. now, everything has quietened down. day 1 is over. the battle will continue tomorrow...

halloween

i read lecture notes the whole day. while reading, i was holding my badminton racket and swinging it around. used it to hit my head. it helps in blood circulation. try it! hahaha. just kidding. i took out the guitar and strum strum here, strum strum there. watched youtube and learnt how to play kiss me by sixpence none than richer. yeah. played basketball (magic shoot) for just a while. went to the toilet just now and noticed something weird about this funny broom with plastic bristles. it's standing on its own, without leaning against anything! lol. you might have seen it before. but since it was my 1st time seeing it, i was totally amused. haha. decided to take it out and took a picture of it. lol. though it's 1st nov (0032) now. but still, happy halloween! since the date of this post is 31st oct. hahaha.

lejun called me at 6.40am. i called bernard at 6.50am. haha. went jogging with the two of them. ran all the way to sembawang park. walked around the park and sat near the jetty. i had been wanting to go to the park to walk walk, see see and relax before alevel. and finally i did it this morning. with the 兄弟s. yeah. we talked about ns stuff. seems like all the guys are quite excited about going for BMT in palau tekong. the two of them will be enlisted on 11dec. it's like two or three weeks after alevel. mine is in april. how am i going to survive the long holiday without the two of them man. haiya. 为什么这样?

stayed around in the park for a while and walked back to sembawang to have breakfast. on our way, bernard was saying that it felt as if alevel was over then. haha. i was wondering what will life be like after the exam. will i be feeling lost? will i be wasting my time doing nothing? or will i be... hopefully after alevel i can plan out what i want to do during this long break. right now i should be thinking about alevel. it's just a few more days to the 1st paper. haha.

i just had meepok for supper. it tasted great. because i cooked it myself. hahaha. not the kind of meepok in coffeeshop or hawker centre, but the instant noodles kind. cooking a simple meal for yourself seems fun. maybe i can go learn cooking after alevel. haha. eh. meepoh or meepok?

sudden urge to blog

i have this sudden urge to blog. woke up this morning at 6.15am when lejun called me. we went for morning run. surprisingly, this time i ran. not jog. probably because it was a much shorter distance. about 2km or so. drank teh at the canteen opposite yishun sapphire. reached home at about 8am. took a cold shower without switching on the heater. woo. shiok! i just spent about one hour reading the newspapers. there are several interesting articles which caught my attention. here are some of those which i had read:

have been trying to follow the timetable which i came up with. i managed to wake up at 7am on thurs and fri. wanted to cycle to sembawang park. but it was raining. so instead of cycling, i ended up sleeping. hehe. honestly speaking, there are things which i failed to complete. overall, the feeling of following or trying to stick to the timetable and completing things you have planned to do is totally great. it feels like you are living life to the fullest. haha. i shall continue to plan out what i want to do. it's really easy. just write them down on a piece of paper. attach double sided tape to it. peel off the white layer. stick the paper to your body. tadaa! you will stick to the timetable and it will also stick to you. i'm sure you will then achieve what you had planned! yeah! HAHAHAHA.

it's 3.04am right now. yet i am not feeling sleepy or tired at all. hahaha. everyone else is sleeping. luckily there's 883jia fm to accompany me until now. i'll have to sleep soon. if mother finds out i'm not sleeping, she will definitely make me sleep through the whole afternoon later. haha.

went to chenyen's bday chalet yesterday. her bday cake was super cool. got jay chou de. hahaha. left at around 10. by the time i reached yishun, it's around 12. walked home slowly. but ended up at mac. i didnt feel like going home. so called lejun and asked if he want to have supper too. suprisingly he was super on too. so i made my way to chongpang and sat there. read the econ booklet while waiting for him. we talked. i'm really lucky to have met him. thanks man.

19/10. a day to remember for the rest of my life. 为了兄弟, i'll do what i can. 开心最重要.

10/07 the elite class

10/10/2008. a day which i'll never forget. we had farewell assembly in the morning. watched some performance and prize presentation. aj indian dance was totally awesome! when you watch them dance, you will also feel like dancing too. hahaha. went back to home room (414) after the performance for some admin stuff. received gifts from lejun, angelin and jasmine. so nice of them man. thank you so much. ohh. and also from ajc. thanks! haha. stayed back in school for lunch with the class. i ate char kway teow. it was delicious. played volleyball with 10/07 for the last time. bathed and left school in the afternoon.

all of us went shopping at fairprice extra. we bought meat, mushroom, fishball, vegetable and many other things because we are having steamboat at mr chua's house. hehe. reached sengkang in the late afternoon if not wrong. we played cards and mahjong. looked at mr chua's photograpghs. ate kfc. ate steamboat. drank beer. chatted with one another. watched tv. played truth or dare. took photo. mr chua's kids are so cute. they are very polite too. time passes fast. soon it was 9+ and some left early. the last group of us left at around 11pm after playing truth or dare. bernard, lejun and me decided to send angelin back to her hostel as it was very late. took train with jazzy and angelin. on our way, we met crazy people. two indians almost started fighting. we alighted at dhoby ghaut. the two also alighted. one of them kept punching himself. he even turned around to show lejun. walked angelin back to her hostel before the three of us took cab home.

now it's time for prize presentation. hahaha.


best chef award: lejun, christine and phoebe. they were the ones in the kitchen preparing the food. washing and cutting. thanks guys!


best waiter/waitress award: everyone. thanks for those who served me food. i felt like i am in the restaurant! haha.


best entertainer award: angelin and jiajia. eh. what did they do? hahaha.

best nanny award: jiajia. she's good at handling kids. gets along really well with mr chua's children. haha

king of the beer award: king jiajun, who drank. drank. and drank. and also king lejun, who drank. drank. and drunk! hahaha.

most helpful award: angelin. everytime i walked past the kitchen, she would there. washing utensils. maybe that's her hobby! haha. thanks for clearing the empty cups too!

fast learner award: sabrina. she learned how to play bridge within a very short time. unlike when i was learning few years back.

queen of mahjong: chenyen. chi here pong there and then hu everywhere. hehe. oh. and happy birthday to jannice too. she didnt even win a round of mahjong. poor thing!

big appetite award: lejun and phoebe. i caught them outside finishing the remaining food! anyway it's great to have people like them. if not, we cant finish the food. wahaha.

most 'high' award: this award goes to the one and only LEJUN. he's really high. people on estacy also not as high as him. somemore he remained high for quite a long time. is he drunk or is he drunk? should have taken a video of him that night. haha. luckily he's back to normal when we reached yishun. if not i would have to carry him home. or rather drag him home.

best teacher award: since there's only one teacher. this award belongs to him. haha. mr william chua! thanks for inviting us to your house. we enjoyed ourselves yesterday! and also paiseh for the mess we created uh. haha. we'll be back! muahahaha.

i couldnt sleep last night. something seemed to have changed. what should i do? 怎么办?

ice kachang

went to pizzahut for dinner on sat. only 6 people turned up. weeyang, meigui, jeremy, wilson, xinghua and me. as usual, weeyang was the one entertaining us. he really can talk a lot. haha. weeyang is just like superman. there's only one word to describe him. PRO. after eating at pizzzahut, we went to the hawker centre to eat dessert. we ordered a $4 ice kachang. it's huge. 6 people sharing one ice kachang. weeyang accompanied me home after that. haha. someone please organise another gathering after alevel and hopefully more people will turn up.

havent been feeling well lately. skipped bio timed practice yesterday. supposed to go see doctor 1st, but the clinic is open only after 2pm. so i just went home to sleep. went back to the clinic at night. there were so many people. waited for 1h plus. doctor gave me a mc. haha. was feeling better this morning and so i went to school. anyway it's the last week of school already. must treasure the remaining few days of school. hopefully there will be a class outing on fri after farewell assembly. a lunch together would be good. soon i'll be on my own. i wonder if i can survive. haha.

my angmoh neighbour wants to learn mahjong. he said he's willing to pay someone to coach him. part time job after Alevel? hehehe.

lies

mr ang is finally back from reservist training. he went through a passage talking about lies. i love his lessons man. the lessons set me thinking about things which i have never thought about, make me realise and understand the way of life. and also how things work. they also allow me to see things from a totally different perspective. seems like i have gained a lot from him. was reading this article: the truth about lying. the following paragraph is just my random thoughts which may sound nonsensical. they may not be true. haha.

children are always happy because they imagine, they pretend and they tell lies to avoid the truth? i dont think adults can achieve the same effect. probably because we know that it is wrong to tell lies. hence by putting up a pretence or telling lies, it may make us feel worse rather than happier. ok. enough of crap. i also dont know what i'm writing. haha. let's move on.

went out late yesterday night at 11plus pm. biaoge just booked out at around that time. father was going to fetch him from keat hong camp. and so i just tagged along. it's the 1st time i'm going to the keat hong camp area. the night is so peaceful. there arent many cars on the road. the best thing is that love97.2 fm was playing some very nice songs. i sang along. hahaha. father drove past the zoo as we were along mandai road. i want to go zoo! i cant even remember when the last time i went there was. keat hong camp is situated near the chaochukang area at some ulu site. qianhu fish farm is somewhere there too. on the way back to yishun, biaoge was teling us about some interesting incidents that took place this week in the camp. that's something special about this trip. i felt the same way as about 7 years ago when i was in primary 6. the feeling is just so special that i dont even know how to describe. somemore that particular song was played at the same time. was it an coincidence? haha.

went to chongpang for supper. the prata was not bad. but the teh tarik isnt that nice. haha. reached home at about 1am. went to bed with biao's psp. played for a while before i slept.

it's a long day. had gp lecture after school. reached home in the evening. bathed. ate dinner. read newspapers. then lay on the sofa to rest. i closed my eyes. rest only. but when i opened my eyes, it's 10+ le. eh, i think the clock not working la. hahaha. began to start work. ate mee at the same time too. and now i'm here blogging. i'll be going to sleep soon. haha. eat and sleep. how nice man.

made two simple birthday card thingy. one for mother and one for mr chua. it's so fun making them. finding the photo, cutting and pasting using paint. printing out. cutting and pasting again. haha.

1st october

september has ended. it's 1st october 2008. there's no school today. not because of children's day. but because today is hari raya puasa. haha. today is my mother's birthday too. we had an early celebration on sunday when my brother was around. happy birthday mama.

i had been feeling very tired these few days although i slept a lot. haha. had this sudden urge to play basketball yesterday. so i went out to play from 4plus to 6 after reaching home. slacked through the night. watched hot shot ep10 and slept early. haha. however, i still woke up quite late this morning. looked through maths lect notes in the afternoon. i'm going eat dinner now. shall practise bio and chem paper 1 tonight. yeah.

F1

yay. weekend is finally coming. shall make good use of this weekend to do some revision. and also go exercise. had lunch together with lejun and bernard after school today. went to the 24h prata shop along the sembawang road. i used to go there for supper with family. this trip was a bit disappointing. they only had plain prata. no egg prata, no cheese prata or whatever prata. probably because it was after lunch time already. the experience was totally different from having supper there at night. the prata wasnt nice at all. cold cold one. never go there in the afternoon. however, there's still something good about today's lunch. TEH TARIK! it's really good. haha. went to play basketball with the two guys after lunch and went home in the evening.

F1 race will be taking place this weekend. woo. i think it's good to know more about the hosting of the first night race. we can apply this knowledge in gp. here's an article which i find useful. Analysts say F1 race will reap economic bonanza for S'pore. i'm so tired already. shall go sleep now. hopefully tmr morning can go for a jog.

i just read the news article on cna. it reads: "White Rabbit Creamy Candy" from China also tainted with melamine. i used to love white rabbit creamy candy. the plastic like transparent paper the sweet is wrapped with will dissolve when you put it into your mouth. haiya. milk products. it made me think of the primary school days when little jeremy, little borui and the rest of the little kids were playing this very funny game called milk product. haha. anyway, do take note of what you are eating nowadays and be more careful.

篮球火

lazy sunday. i started watching 篮球火 (hot shot). haha. the show is quite hilarious. i watched it the whole afternoon. managed to finish 3 episodes. my mother bought papaya. i dont like papaya. i want banana or watermelon. haiya. i guess i have to eat papaya for these few days. but it's ok. because there's also my favourite saralee chocolate swirl pound cake. i shall eat saralee chocolate swirl pound cake for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper! yeahyeahyeah. haha. WAA. just found out that i have homework to do. i think i have to do the maths specimen paper. aiya. shall start doing it now.

jack and rai

went to bk with bernard after school yesterday. we were talking about the preliminary examination. met michael. he was telling me about his prelim too before he rushed off for tuition. everyone is so worried about it. haiya. jiayou ba. slacked the whole night. watched the nike human race 10k. saw this local band, jack and rai, performing. they sang a song called fa la la song. it sounded nice. lay on the bed. listened to music until i feel so tired and slowly fell asleep. it has been quite some time since i last do this. heard some old songs being played on the radio. this is just so nice.

i took the guitar out this afternoon to play. it has been in the bag for a long time. haha. cbox has been giving me some problems. everytime i tag, a new window will pop up. and the cbox doesnt seem to refresh on its own. i am a bit irritated. thus i am going to create a new tagboard. byebye cbox. shoutmix will replace you.

today is bernard's birthday. happy birthday to him. or to you if you are reading this right now. i am refering to bernard. haha. he finally turned 18. hopefully he will act like a 18 years old and not like 8 years old kid anymore. lol. happy 18th birthday! haha.

sentosa

had class outing yesterday. went to sentosa. siloso beach. met lejun and bernard in the morning and took train to habourfront. supposed to meet at 9, but we reached there at 8.30am. haha. waited for the rest before we left for sentosa. once we reached there, we started playing beach volleyball. the weather was really good. we just kept on playing. soccer too. haha. afternoon came and we went to 7-11 to buy some food to eat. me and bernard ate bread, the rest ate cup noodles. saw the odacians too. after lunch, i was feeling very very tired. so i just sat there and rested for quite some time while the rest were playing. i played with the sand. tried to build something, but the guys kept destroying it. @#$%$%$! hahaha. played volleyball, soccer and frisbee before we went to bathe. dinner was at vivocity. walked around candyempire. then we took train home. i had so much fun yesterday. my skin is really red. sun burnt. i think i'm cooked. haha. let's go to sentosa again. with this banana boat dark tanning oil (moisturizing. aloe vera. with carrot extract). hehe.

went to school today. still so tired. i want to stay home and sleep for the whole day! haha. got back some papers. they were not well done. chem paper 3 was horrible. haha. i wonder who marked my question 1, which i didnt even use the graph paper at all. the marks given for this particular question at the left column of my foolscape were 1, 2, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0+0 (no graph), 0 and 1. hahaha. so many 0s. still 0+0. 9 0s in one question. haiya. why like that. aiya. what can i do? study really hard and practise more. just do your best. do everything you can. everything will be just fine. everything will be alright. yeah!

mid autumn

yesterday was mid autumn festival. i ate a few mooncakes. there is this story behind the mid autumn festival. it's about a man called houyi and a woman called chang'e. but all i know is:

1. naughty chang'e ate some dont know what pill and flew to the moon.
2. besides chang'e, there's a rabbit living on the moon too.
3. chang'e's husband, houyi, shot down nine suns. his arrows must have been made of dont know what material that can withstand the heat of the sun.

hmm. that's about it. haha. guess none of you have actually seen chang'e before. i saw her yesterday and took a photo of her. many other people saw too.

hahaha. still can remember that when we were young, father and mother would bring us to somewhere like parks to carry lanterns, play with candles and sparkles. so fun. as we slowly grow up, we no longer go out to play anymore. haiya. how i wish i can forever remain as a kid. hopefully next year when i'm in ns, we can bring some lanterns, candles and sparkles to camp and play. and burn down the whole camp too. hahaha. was on my way home after the dinner. everywhere is so quiet. i dont see any children running around with lanterns. i wonder where's everyone.

had the last paper this morning. prelims had finally come to an end. let's do some reflection. on the whole, i didnt do well for most of the papers, or maybe all? i realized that i cannot finish most of the papers. bio paper 2 was badly done. 1 hour passed and i was still at the 3rd question. in the end i dont have enough time to do the essay question. same for econ. i really must practise more.

the funniest and most exciting paper was bio paper one. the h1 aqnd h2 people were taking different sets of paper. theirs end at 15.27 and ours end at 15.42. i thought that the invigilator will be collecting my paper at 15.27. at about 15.26, i realized i still got like 9 or 8 questions left. so i hurriedly just anyhow shaded the answers without even looking at the questions. wahaha. i only realized that our paper ends 15 mins later when everyone was still busy doing and the invigilator didnt collect the oas. -.-

chem paper for today was still ok. paper 1 went smoothly. it is one of the two or three papers that i can finish on time. went to play pool with the usual gang after chem paper. then went shoppping at fairprice extra. took some photos. haha. bought some snacks and drinks because there's a class outing at sentosa tmr. hope that the weather will be good. i'm so excited now. yeahyeahyeah.

i love bananas. ate 6 bananas today. i love watermelon too. but i wont be so greedy. shall eat one watermelon tmr. hahaha.

yay. there's no school tmr. but still have to stay at home to revise biology and maths. actually i dont feel like studying at all. was feeling so disappointed today. i studied so hard for econs, yet i dont even think i can pass the paper. why is it always like that? aiya. shall not think about it anymore since it's over.

was browsing through the news articles on channelnewsasia.com. didnt have the chance to read the newspapers as i have been doing last min revision these few days. read some of the articles. one article mentioned that 28 new cases of chikungunya fever detected. i think we should increase public's awareness on this issue. stupid mosquitoes. fly here, fly there, fly everywhere. we must stop these mosquitoes from breeding. how? one good solution is:

ok. do take a look at the actual poster here. we can do our part to prevent mosquitoes from breeding through actions like turning over containers which some may see as insignificant. no one would want to live in a mosquitoes infested environment. being bitten by a mosquito like once every few minutes? haha. if they breed, you will bleed. so, do your part now and stop them from breeding.

came across this interesting video on channelnewsasia.com too. 80 parents turn up for first matchmaking session at Hong Lim Park. the parents a bit kiasu uh. from another point of view, being a parent is really not easy. even though the children have grown up, parents still feel worried for them. my cousin is going to get married next year. i was talking to mother about this some time back. randomly, i asked her when i will be considered as adult. 18? 21? no. i remembered her saying smth like after i get married or by the time i start a family. haha. all the parents think the same way. i guess that we will understand this only when we ourselves have become parents in the future.

i need a break. haha. chem paper 3 today was hard. i studied organic chem, but still couldnt do the questions. felt a bit disappointed. i should read and practise more. bio paper 3 was relatively easier as compared to chem paper 3. couldnt finish the paper. had a long break between the 2 papers. studied with the usual gang. found out that bernard and yunrui can rmb things that i wrote in this blog. like played basketball till 8pm, ran 4km... haha. if only we can memorise our lecture notes like how we rmb all these things. maybe i should type a summary of the lecture notes in point form so that you can memorise them easily. -.-

it's raining cats and dogs right now. lightning and thunder. i shall continue my revision. before i go, here's a video for you. haha.

boring afternoons

havent been blogging for a while. wed, thurs and fri are almost the same. it's always eat, study, watch tv and sleep. there's nothing much to do. and it has been raining too. couldnt go out to play. and i kept falling asleep in the afternoon. hehe. i tried to stay awake. i went to shower when i feel sleepy. it helped a little but ultimately, i still fell asleep. i drank many packets of milo too. why?

haha. it gives you energy. i was feeling so sian that i took a photo of it. had several dreams this few days too. dreamt of mdm woon, bernard and old chang kee. very weird.

1st dream: i was playing soccer with bernard. in my pri sch's field. -.- and we played until we forgot to attend econs tutorial. i rmb seeing mdm woon. haha. dunno what happened in the end. aiya. i must have read too much econs.

2nd dream: nothing much about this. i was eating old chang kee's curry puff. wanted to buy some for mother and sis. so went around to look for old chang kee's outlet. i rmbed two out of the three outlets which appeared in the dream. blk 157 and 277. but in reality, blk 157 where got old chang kee? haha.

i dont know what to say. it's so funny. old chang kee's curry puff. -.- let's come back to today. had lunch at home with biao, mother and sis. we were talking about what will happen after my A level. or rather what will it be like in the future. we randomly talked about what course i'll be taking in uni and stuff like this. maybe it's time for me to think what i really want in life. right now i just know i really really want to learn driving. and how to swim too. haha. went to play basketball just now. today's weather is so good. i love being under the sun playing some sports rather than staying at home to study. met this group of jc1s from yj. quite funny. played until 8. came home. bathed. and now here i am blogging. haha. i'm feeling hungry now. shall go and eat my dinner now. alone.

charlie!

today is a long day. maybe it's because i woke up very early in the morning, unlike the other days which i sleep until late morning or even afternoon. haha. went for morning jog with lejun. ran 4km. or rather jogged 4km. didnt have the stamina to run fast. i must make an effort to go run more often. yeah. ate breakfast at the canteen. the tea was quite bitter, unlike the one i drank when i went there previously. very disappointed.

read econs for the rest of the day. took a nap in the afternoon. dinner was delicious. watched celafare and 1st class with biao ge and sis. the two shows are super funny. biao ge left right after that. previously i thought he had off until sunday only. but turned out he's on leave for mon and tues too. seemed like he had almost a week of holiday too. haha.

yeahyeah. i almost forgot this. to all teachers: HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY! haha. luckily it's not tuesday yet.

i read the econ booklet. went to play basketball in the late afternoon. ended up playing for 3 hours. played a few matches with different groups of people. some were just very rough. it seemed like they are not playing basketball, but pushing others. -.- came home. dog-tired.

though it's time to study really hard for the coming prelims, it is important to take care of one's health too. rmb to take breaks and dont just study non stop for like 632851954h. drink more water, eat more fruits, exercise regularly and rest well. haha. that's about it. let's enjoy the holiday!

i woke up early. thanks for the wake up msg. wanted to go jogging, but my bro is still sleeping. made myself a cup of hot milo and continued to read econs. i just cannot finish reading. haha. fell asleep on the sofa and woke up about an hour later. hehe. that's me. when my bro woke up at around 8, he wanted to go jogging too, but turned out i was sleeping. -.- i shall hurry finish revising econs. i always cannot pass econs. wonder why. it is one of my five weakest subjects. which five? maths, chem, bio, gp and econs. it's everything. haha. here's a video which i find it very interesting. kids are so cute, arent they? they forgive and forget easily. look how the brother smiled again even after charlie bit his finger. wahaha. i think i used to bite my brother too when i was young. wonder if my brother had ever say, 'yongyuan bit me... and that really hurt.' hahaha.
