LIM CHU KANG

i am at my dad's fish farm right now. for the first time, i feel that the ulu ulu lim chu kang is actually connected to the other parts of singapore, with the help of a mobile internet modem. hahaha. today's bbq was fun. so nice to see everyone get together, eat and mingle around. many went home le. only several will be staying overnight here. later we'll be watching movies. yeah. right now some of us are just sitting around, trying to finish all the food. i shall go help out and eat somemore too. hehe.

christmas's coming

finally booked out le. went to costa sands just now for bbq organised by the yishun SHG volunteers. havent seen them for a long time le. we all had a gift exchange. nicenice. didnt stay over at the chalet because tmr still got family gathering at dad's fish farm. bbq too. hahaha. i'm super busy this weekend. too many gatherings le. supposed to go for a gathering with the tmis colleagues at vivocity, attend aloysius's early christmas party and also a dinner with my sec secondary school classmates tmr too. no choice but to reject all the rest. i apologize to all the organisers (joseph, aloysius and layjia). sorry. looking forward to the bbq with my pri sch classmates on 26th too. yeahyeah. christmas's coming. hohoho. shall go sleep le. tmr still have to wake up early.

041209 (fri): graduation parade! we finally passed out lo. it started at 7.30pm. mother and father came. took several photos but havent upload onto fb yet. haha. i'm posted to bmtc (pulau tekong). tmr have to report le. however, i have no idea what time to report yet. will be on course for 2 weeks until 181209 i think, so wont be coming home.

051209 (sat): went out in the late morning to expo to collect my sc marathon pack. met up with cousin ronald at bugis for lunch. watched Couples Retreat. last movie i watced with him is The Proposal. everytime watch those couple shows with him de. hahaha. had dinner back at northpoint.

061209 (sun): woke up at 3am. it's sc marathon today! lejun came over at about 3.30am. papa drove me, lejun and my brother to yishun stadium. we had bought bus ticket for the bus ride to take us to somewhere near the start point. met benjamin poh and jack on the way. we deposited our bags and walked to the start point. the marathon was supposed to start at 0530, but we started a little later. the run was awesome, with supporters along the way. didnt run all the way la. we walked also. haha. it was a wonderful experience. seeing the sky got from dark to bright while running. and also passing by the city area, along east coast park by the sea and on the f1 race track with sg flyer beside. got my finisher tee and also a medal. beautiful sunday morning. went to chinyan's house after sc marathon. bmt platoon gathering. a handful of the guys came. just reached home not long ago. need to pack my stuff to bring over to tekong tmr. and also try to find out what time to report. that's all for now. yeah.

woke up late this morning. haha. immediately brushed teeth, washed face, took a shower and went out to meet lejun. we were going to chongpang to collect our uniforms. had lunch with him and tabao-ed food for mama, korkor and meimei. i needed a mp3, so i bought a zen mozaic from my brother at a discounted price, with freebies thrown in. hahaha. did my 3 assignments in the afternoon. played dota. went running in the late afternoon. ran the park connector and went to sembawang park. a lot people there. playing baseball, soccer, frisbee, BBQing, fishing... standard chartered marathon is next sun le. have to go to expo to collect the race entry pack for myself and lejun on sat. exciting week ahead. passing out parade on fri, posting will be known next week too and sc marathon on sun! yeahyeah. time to book in lo.

Hari Raya Haji

loooong weekend. booked out yesterday evening. had dinner at kfc with lejun. it was quite last minute. was walking home from mrt and decided to give him a call. turned out he was at chongpang kfc. haha. havent seen him for 1month+. bernard's having duty today. poor him. passing out next friday le. wonder if papa and mama will attend the parade and put on the chevron for me. had a sharing session with the commanders yesterday afternoon. one of them said, "they wont care how much you know until they know how much you care for them". something to remember. it's raining now. sian ah. stuck at home. rain rain go away, come again another day...

HOME SWEET HOME. finally back from taiwan. had been there for the past 3 weeks. missed my loved ones. it feels good to be back at home. my blogskin died. haiya. time for lunch. shall continue blogging soon. haha.

northpoint

had dinner with family just now. went to northpoint alone after that. the new np is so diiferent from the old one that i used to know. just didnt feel like going home so early. so i took my time and walked around, seeing if there's anything i can buy. i bought nothing in the end, except 面包 and peppermint milktea while walking home. haha. spent a few mins watching the free-of-charge live concert (aka 歌台) which was taking place beside my block at the big basketball court. the singer was singing 海闊天空 by Beyond. was browsing through Uncyclopedia. came across this funny artikl called 'Johnnys a big poopy' which is Rited by Robert "Bobby" Robertson wif no help frum anibuddy, ek-speshily Johnny, hoo smels like bum and hes dum and nobuddy likes him! hahaha. have fun reading it!

grandslam2 took place two weeks ago. missions after missions. defence ops was the worst of all. digged shellscrape, digged firetrench, filled sandbags... last week was quite slack. did rappelling on wed. booked out on thursday and booking in next mon night because of off in lieu. just found out that one machine head of my guitar is spoilt when i was changing the strings this afternoon. siansiansian. i have no time to go shop for a new set of machine heads. shall settle this at the end of nov ba. i'm lazy to continue blogging le. shall go nua on my bed now while waiting for mother. she went out to tabao dinner. meeting bernard, aloysius and lejun for supper later at 10. eat and eat and eat. hehe.

week 7

week 7 of aslc. a hectic and tiring week. had platoon live firing on mon. day and night. ippt on tues. was quite happy with my results. i finally can jump le. managed to jump 243cm to secure a 5 points. had prefect score but couldnt get gold because of 2.4km run. need to cut down 7secs from 9.51min to 9.44min to get gold. yeah. must try again during the next ippt provided that i can jump well too. wed was standard obstacle course (SOC). failed. my timing was 10.21min. the passing timing is 9.59min and below. felt disappointed and down. not passing SOC = staying back on sat morning for remedial training. on top of this, SOC is a vito factor in order to pass out from aslc. went to mandai area for navigation exercise. managed to find 2 of of the 3 day checkpoints. night checkpoint was easy to find. we were the 2nd detail of the company to end our navigation exercise. combat skill badge! yay! had SOC yesterday. ran the last 600m despite the fact that i was dog tired after jumping down from the 2m ramp. at that moment while running, i kept thinking about wanting to pass SOC. i made it. my timing was just nice. exactly 9.59min! hahaha. finally cleared something which i had been worrying about since the start of aslc. but still, i must keep training and do better in the future. next week is grandslam2. travelling on a chinook, river crossing, platoon attack, digging shellscrape + fire trench... confirm will be both physically and mentally drained. haiya. shall go sleep now.

mid autumn festival

YAY! 32km march is over le! starting the march at 2030 on tues night and it ended on wed afternoon. no doubt, i almost died. hahaha. river crossing took place at the 19th km mark. but it rained when we reached the crossing point. so we sought shelter under the vegetation for about an hour plus. it was super cold and i was shivering non stop. haha. the 32km march is definitely one experience i'll never forget. oh. and a big thankyou to all those who encouraged and helped me along the way. haha. it's really nice to see ppl encouraging one another during the march. yeah.

yesterday was sports day. the 2 ASLC coys dominated yesterday's event. foxtrot was the champion and golf was the runner-up. booked out in the afternoon and went back home. bought a cake on my way home to celebrate mother's birthday which was on 1st oct. haha. children's day. besides the birthday cake, there're also a lot of mooncakes at my house. happy mid autumn fest to all! meet up with bernard and lejun at night and we went to aloysius's house. watched manu vs sunderland, ate mooncakes, durians (only lejun was eating) and drank tea. ordered mac delivery too. we all fell asleep and slept until this morning. i woke up at 0615 to do some area cleaning while the rest were still sleeping. left at about 0700. slacked through this morning until now. had planned to go library to borrow some books to read. but i'm just too lazy to go out. haha. next week then i go ba. i'm booking in super early today. must reach camp by 2000. got to prepare for tmr's platoon live firing. sian ah.

1st book out of ASLC

i'm back. had been running a lot in camp. 5km, 6km, 7km... will be running 10km under 65mins next week for a Combat Skill Badge. that's part of it only. there's still a 32km march and a csb shoot if not wrong. fired general purpose machine gun (GPMG). quite fun. 1st field camp was tiring. learnt several drills, carried out by a section or a platoon. 12 more weeks to go. this is just the beginning only. haiya. booked out on fri morning and walked around pasir laba camp to view the exhibition of the army open house. supposed to attend cdac dinner yerterday. but last min have to go to dad's fish farm. family gathering + annual praying during the hungry ghost festival. knew about it only on friday. met up with my cousins and other relatives. grandma asked me a similar question that my 2nd uncle asked the last time i went to the fish farm. stunned for a moment. i wonder if they will ask me again the next time i see them. hahaha.

2 weeks later

holiday ended. time to get back to camp. i'll be back in 2 weeks' time.

The Proposal

was out yesterday with cousin ronald. he's having his exams now. final year project i guess. all the best dude! went back to aj in the afternoon to collect bernard's cert. met up with ronald at bugis and we watched The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, at iluma. a great movie. we had a good laugh. you should stop reading my blog and go catch the movie at the nearest cinema now! haha. have been watching a lot of movies recently too. meet the spartan (a waste of time?), music and lyrics and also i love you, man! went on to bugis street, bought polo tees and bermuda. wondered around sweelee and looked at those super chio guitars! hehe.

stayed home today. nothing much to do. played dota. read newspaper. strummed my guitar. sang. lalala. went for a run in the late afternoon. need to train for sc marathon. covered about 8.6km. quite satisfied. was hoping to run about 5.6km initially since i havent ran for some time. supposed to catch Where Got Ghost with family tonight, but biaoge watched it le and papa cant make it. haiya. maybe this weekend i'll find someone to watch with me. anyone out there wants to watch? should start packing the stuff needed to bring back to camp. my holiday is going to end soon! arghhhh!

i woke up super early at about 6+am. took train to bedok. busy weekday morning as usual. adults rushing for work. kids rushing to school. everyone was walking super fast. i guess i was the only person taking my own sweet time to walk. haha. reached bedok at about 8. met jinjia for breakfast. the rest slowly came. went to shengsiong to buy tibits and drink before proceeding to ECP. ate, drank, played cards ad frisbee while waiting for everyone to arrive. noon came and we settled our lunch at mac. rented bicycles (many single and one double). cycled to changi village. wanted to go the old changi hospital initially, but not enough time le. so we cycled all the way back to ecp again. quite tiring. i sang while on my way back to ecp. hehe. highlight of the day was actually to dig a fire trench and bury xiaowen. but xiaowen didnt come and there was no time dig the trench. since xiaowen not here, the bed buddy will take over. haha. so we attempted to dunk jonathan hu into the water. the plan failed and my bed buddy, chensijin (aka 真是鸡) was dunked instead. wahahaha. benjamin tan was dunked too.washed up before leaving the place. the rest carried on with their dinner while i took 76 back to amk to meet the stupid bernard. haha. this bernard havent even collect his alevel cert la. and i have to go collect for him one of these days. -.- ate with bernard and played pool. hongkai came along too. made our way home at about 2200. a wonderful tuesday. bernard would definitely agree with me. inside joke. lol.

i'm quit surrprised that my legs arent aching. i still thought they would ache after cycling for 4h+ yesterday. haha. just that i'm a little sunburnt. hehe.

i'm on leave until next monday. went to student service centre on sat. found out that the kids will be having their PSLE oral examination this thursday or friday. so fast. all the best and good luck kids! haha. stayed at home and watched night at museum 2 and silent hill. i shall watch those movies that i've missed out previously during this one week break since i have nothing much to do. collected my new specs on sunday morning. the old one broke some time ago when we were having urban operation at neo tiew area. went out in the afternoon to meet bernard, hong kai and justin. we sang at kbox. it has been a long time since i last sang. i want to go sing again! hehe. woke up early this morning and made my way to tantockseng. had a 2d echocardiography. supposed to have the heart scan in july but i postponed it so that i wont miss anything during bslc. still have to go back for a review in jan2010. it just rained and the sun is out now. probably i'll go running in the evening. less than 4 months to sc marathon. must start training le. section outing at east coast park tmr! yeahyeah!

YAY! i completed the 28km march! started at 8+am at kranji war memorial and ended at aobut 5+pm if i'm not wrong. with full battle order, et stick, blade, dummy magazines... should have taken them out. haha. 'somehow or rather', the march seemed to be like 30+km. marched past dad's fish farm. hehe. my legs super cui now. so tired. watched ndp parade in camp and then booked out not long ago. shall go rest now.

national day (44th)

finally home. passing out from BSLC next fri lo. yeah. went out for supper with bernard and lejun. ate prata and reached home at about 1.45am. it's national day tmr. booking today later in the evening. i'll be celebrating national day by marching 28km on sunday morning from kranji war memorial back to pasir laba camp. watching the parade on big screen back at camp and booking out after that. haha. how i wish i can stay home to watch the national day parade with my family. as an nsf, i guess watching the parade this year will be different from the past. at least i'll understand the commands given by the parade commander. this year's theme song is entitled 'what do you see' by electrico. quite nice.

1st fieldcamp

1st fieldcamp is over le! yeah. learnt a lot of new things. and also got confinement + extra duty. -.- haha. shant talk about the unhappy stuff. i kept thinking the bbq with the tmis staff is today. it's actually next week. wahahaha. so i might be going back to anderson sec to play badminton if i feeling ok later. went to see doctor this morning. couldnt sleep the whole night as i kept coughing and had blocked nose. very uncomfortable. had some homework to do this weekend. peer appraisal, commanders appraisal... currently addicted to this song by pink. it's called 'please dont leave me'. haha. shall go eat my medicine and take a quick nap.

YAY! i passed my traffic police test! haha. was still so nervous during the warm up in the morning before the actual test. tp started with doing all the circuit courses. everything went well. there was no chance to do emergency brake as there were a lot of cars. went out to main road after that. there's this van which didnt want to give way to me despite the fact that i had signalled to change lane very early. the test ended in about 25mins. upon reaching ssdc, the tester asked me to park the car by the side. i still thought we were going to do e brake. i thought maybe it's because i had failed le, so no point doing e brake. haha. went up to the office with him and he then told me i passed. woo! so happy. took id photo and waited to apply for my new licence. while waiting, i saw Li Yujia. she's one of the singapore national badminton players. zai. i didnt know her name initially. haha. she sat beside me and suddenly talked to me. i stunned sia. she was asking me if she had taken the correct queue number to apply for her pdl. found out from her that she lost her wallet two days ago. then we just chatted. she knew my badminton coach, wu yongbin. she then realised that she didnt have nets because she lost it too. -.- so she paid me cash and used mine to pay for her pdl. i would have taken a photo with her if i had a camera phone. she looks more beautiful in real life than on tv or in photo. haha.

tmr going back to tekong for guard duty lo! i somehow miss the food there. hahaha. the teh there is very nice! hopefully guard duty tmr will be fun. explore tekong and talk cock with my buddy. yeah!

busy

had been very busy recently. last 4 driving revision lessons. met up pri school friends on sat at minds cafe to play board games. really nice to see them again. as usual, the guys talked about ns stuff. haha. had dinner with lejun and the rest at seoul garden. lejun LOVES seoul garden and wants to eat there again. hahaha. inside joke. only the guys knew what i'm talking about. went to PC show on sunday with ronald. there were many people. walked around marina square after that. saw this belt at lacoste which i really like. it's quite expensive though. haiya. tmr finally can stay home the whole day and slack around. maybe i'll go running. very long never run le. wed will be another busy day for me again. yeah.

100609: woke up at 3am. 24km route march started at about 5am+. marched until about noon and we had lunch. rest for some time before the graduation parade. as i marched into the parade square, i suddenly felt like crying la. so funny. a bit emo at that time. couldnt believe i passing out le. 2 months passed so fast. left tekong at about 6pm after the parade with my parents. will go back again on the 18th as i had volunteered to do guard duty. haha. home sweet home.

110609: civilian life is still the best. i slept until 8.30am this morning. went for driving revision lesson. the last time i drove was on 12apr if i'm not wrong. 2 months ago. everything still ok. the instructor was quite nice. we kept talking about army stuff. haha. cycled in the afternoon. went to sembawang park, then to mandai road, khatib and then back to yishun ring road. took about 2h+. planning to go to pc show with my cousin. but couldnt get him. he's in msia and should be back soon. a few gathering coming up. pri sch gathering at mind cafe this sat. fri night there's a farewell dinner for chingtong and chuanwei with TMIS staff. not sure if i can make it. probably meeting up with the lejun and the rest on sat night for dinner and maybe go night cycling. a sectional dinner with my bmt section mates. and hopefully a cousin gathering too. ohh. and there's a badminton alumni bbq on 27june. haha. got to enjoy myself during this block leave and catch up with those i havent seen for a long time. yeah.

ERP rates reduced for school holidays. i was a little surprised when i read this. didnt know there's a reduction in the ERP rates during the sch hol. Great Singapore Sale (GSS) started. 290509 to 260709. this would a good time to shop for things you need. for me, i have nothing much to buy. probably i'll get some apparel or what. looking forward to 10 june. 1week+ more passing out. yeah!

i havent been blogging for a long long time since i'm enlisted on 140409. army life isnt that bad afterall. the food is actually quite nice. hahaha. it has been 1 month plus since i went to tekong. there still about 4 weeks to POP. 2 major events had been cleared. live range and field camp. live range was quite fun. especially during the night shoot when you cant really see if you have hit the target. so just anyhow shoot. haha. had field camp last week. to me, combat rations are actually quite delicious. such as pasta and desserts like red bean with longan. shiok. didnt bathe for 6 days. haha. only got powder bathe. dug shell scrape on day4. slept in it for the night. worst night ever. kept waking up thinking that it's time to fall in. i was so tired that i did not know what i was doing. finally get to book out last night. later still have to book in again. upcoming event for next week will be situational test, a 3 day field camp like activites i guess. other important events (coming soon) are ippt and soc. really looking forward to other activites such as oc evening, recruits night and games day. got to continue to do my best. yeah.

i had my auto car lesson last friday. i'm so lucky. someone was trysell-ing on thursday. yeah. auto car is very very easy to drive as compared to manual one. haha.

went to tanjong katong complex on sat with some of the badminton ppl. sang at this ulu teo heng karaoke. unlike the normal kbox, teo heng doesnt serve food or drinks. however, one good thing was that each of us paid only $6.60 for the 5h singing session. it was the 1st time that the badminton ppl go sing song. it would have been more fun if the rest could make it. halfway through, yongkiat suddenly claimed that he want to go to the toilet and dragged me along. he also mentioned smth like meigui msged him. -.- actually they had bought cake to celebrate my birthday. when we returned from toilet, the cake was on the table already, with a candle and imaginary flame. they have also selected a birthday song and sang it. hahaha. so funny. THANK YOU! we left at about 7. waited for bus 853. they rest took 43. i waited and waited for about 45 mins or longer? 853 didnt come. seemed like 853 only come to this bus stop on sunday & public holiday. took 76 in the end back to yck and then changed to 851. reached home at about 9+, 10 pm. yeah.

yesterday was my last day of work. i had a really wonderful and unforgettable experience for the past 2 months. although there was a lot of things to do, everything went well. i'll be visiting ssdc almost every day for the remaining 2 weeks before enlistment. went for lesson in the morning just now. made a few major mistakes. ): later at around 6pm still got another lesson. yeah. met gerald at ssdc. he reminded me about booking an auto car lesson. i'm screwed. i booked many manual ones but forgot about auto lesson. now i must wait for someone to cancel his/her lesson. if not the earliest slot would be like in may or june. -.- right now i'm camping in front of the computer waiting to book the auto lesson. aiya. siansian. shall go sleep soon. i'm very tired. someone please cancel your auto car lesson!

hello everyone. it has been quite some time since i last blogged. received my results last last friday. it wasnt good. i was disappointed. there's nothing much i can do now but to think about what uni courses to apply for. have been looking at the different universities' websites. went for ntu open house on sat and nus one today. i'll be looking through the bronchures again and hopefully can finish the application by this coming weekend. yeah.

3. the two temp guys before me, chingtong and chuanwei, came back.
4. i passed my final theory trial test and booked the actual ftt.
5. started driving again. not in the circuit anymore, but on the main road. yeah.

i have worked for a month le. so fast. one more month to go and then i'll rest for two weeks before going to tekong to have fun. alevel results will be released on 6 mar? feeling a bit anxious about getting back the results. aiya. dont care le. next week will be very busy. SIA will be sending their flight stewards and stewardesses for some courses for the week. a lot of other classes going on at the same time. more data and surveys to evaluate and key in. my schedule is very packed too. will be going to ssdc several times after work. the wanton mee at ssdc not bad. haha. ate it yesterday night. the guys at tekong right now should be feeling quite happy too. pop is on 10 mar. last two week should be quite free ba. with ippt, soc, si-test and many others all done. shall catch up with the botaks later tonight or tmr if possible. yeah.

had dinner with ronald yesterday. left office at 5.30pm but meeting him at causeway point at 7.30. took train to amk, then took my favourite bus 169 to woodlands to kill time. met this two malay brothers on the bus. lower primary kids. the older one was reading stories to his brother. the two of them so cute. aiya. i have this funny problem. whenever i see small kids, i will starting smiling. dont know for what reason, i just find them very cute. very entertaining. haha. i sound like some phaedophile. but of course i'm not one la. upon reaching woodlands, i immediately took my rifle out. bangbangbangbangbang! ha ha ha. time died. (took my favourite bus 169 to woodlands to kill time) LOL. ate at foodmall. ronald returned to the shop to continue with his work while i went window shopping. met after he finished work at 9.30pm again and ate supper at toastbox.

had a cny staff lunch yesterday. yusheng, sakae sushi, meesiam... not bad. no need to spend money on lunch. haha. the other temp staff is on leave today. so i was super busy since morning. had to go over to park mall since some of the classes were held there due to insufficient classrooms. i thought i can finish evaluating the remaining piles of survey forms today. but before i can finish clearing them, more work came in. photocopying and keying of data. but everything is still ok. all went smoothly. received lejun's msg while working, asking me to go order flowers for him. hehe. left office a bit late today and went to chongpang. the florist was quite friendly. so i placed the order and then the florist asked me, '你帮朋友订花, 自己要不要订?' i smiled and said 'no gf leh'. another lady beside her replied, '没有girlfriend才要订花. 给了花可能就有了.' haha.

i went swimming with lejun this morning. came home in the afternoon. read newspapers and slept. lazy sunday. another busy week ahead.

1st week of work

finally i'm here blogging. went to work on mon morning. reached singapore shopping centre before 9. yes. it is singapore shopping centre. many people thought i was joking. haha. had a tour around the office and classrooms. received this pass which allows me to access to any part of the office. day1 was all about standing in front of the photocopying machine and printing stuff. learnt how to make use of the different functions of the machine. there are also electronic hole puncher and stapler. was only a bit tired when i came home. slept at around 12+am.

i began using the computer on day2. the other temp staff, ching tong, taught me about key data into the system so info such as the courses and classes will appear on the plasma tv or whatever you call that thing and students will know which classroom to go to. the previous sentence is a bit long. haha. day2 had to work until 8 instead of 6 because there will be a Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) talk. most of the people who attended it were jobless. was tired. i slept at around 11+. haha.

i sat at the reception counter on day3. the recep lady was on leave. was very busy attending to clients and also picking up phone calls. it was not easy. angry callers. influx of clients enquiring about the courses. the day finally ended and i squeezed onto the crowded train. reached yishun after some time. went to safra, bought goggles for my brother and then walked home. very tired. i slept earlier than day 2. at around 11.

day 4 was still ok. sat in front of the computer in the morning. went for lunch and came back to the office. ate until very full. was thinking i'll be busy in the afternoon. had to contact students to confirm with them if they are attending revision classes and also key data of student into the system. however, i was asked to go to the office at the 4th floor. called the students. couldnt contact some of them. either they didnt answer, starhub is unable to get a response from our subscriber or the hi card subscriber is not available blah blah blah. was stuck there for 2 hours. havent been exercising for some time. so i brought along my swimming pants, goggles, shampoo and other stuff that morning. went to swim in the evening after work. it was 8+ when i left the pool. wanted to eat kfc. so i walked to chongpang and bought myself a zinger meal. hehe. day4 was totally cui. at about 10, i could hardly stay awake. went to bed at 10.30. was wondering. working is already so tiring le. when i go to tekong, wont it be more tiring. haha.

day 5. today is ching tong's last day of work. thanked him for teaching me so much during my 1st week of work. and i kept asking a lot of questions. hahaha. went over to park mall this afternoon. there are too many classes and we dont have classrooms le. rented some classrooms over at park mall. many people are upgrading themselves, signing up for cert, advanced cert and diploma courses in tourism. companies are also sending their workers for the lessons too. i'll be reporting to work at 8.30am instead of 9am from next week onwards. and new temp staff will be coming in on mon. heard that he's a regular temp. was keying the schedule for next week. there are lessons in almost all time slots. will be more cui than this week i guess. so many things to do. but it's quite fun la. yeah.

loves swimming

swam in the morning with aloysius before going to ssdc in the afternoon on fri. practical lesson that day was better. the car stalled only 2 or 3 times. i'm starting to get the hang of it. releasing the clutch just nice to the biting point. changed from gear1 to gear2 numerous times. practised braking just in front of the stop line and also with all four wheels in a yellow box. everything went smoothly. i have to wait about one month for the next practical lesson which requires pdl already.

had breakfast with few of my pri sch friends on sat morning. angeline teh is going to move to eunos. so she had contacted a few of us to meet up before she leaves yishun. we lied to benjamin that she's going to migrate to australia. and he believed. told him the truth only when he was about to leave. hahaha. played pool at safra with michael in the afternoon before we took a cab home.

went to safra again this morning with lejun to swim. i only realised that i lost my brother's goggles before i left house. must have left it in safra on fri. no choice but to buy a new one for him. lejun soaked in the water while i swam swam a bit. i'm starting to love swimming. it's quite fun actually. bathed and had lunch. waited at safra for bernard to come. aloysius came after some time too. played pool. went to northpoint. and then back home.

i am starting work tmr. finally. no need to nua at home and do nothing. yeahyeah. feeling quite excited. but also a bit worried. lot of questions on my mind right now. what will i be doing for the day? will i be able to get along well with my new colleagues? where do i go for lunch? will i be eating alone? do i go home for dinner or settle it outside? hmm. i guess all these questions will be answered after tmr. shall sleep a bit earlier tonight. aiya. no more listening to radio until 3, 4am. maybe 1 or 2 am will be ok. as long as i dont oversleep. hehe.

CNY

cny day1: i was the last to wake up. visited grandma in the late morning. brother drove us. he got his driving licence recently. didnt meet any of the uncles or aunt. left after some time and went to maternal grandparent's house. everyone was there. 大舅 and family went to batam for holiday. 小舅母 took out some old photos. really old photos. saw how my mother, uncles and aunt looked like when they were young. reminiscing the past. we all then proceeded to someone else's house. should be my grandmother's sister ba. so many people squeezed into the house. hahaha. i have no idea how to address the many many relatives, like my mother's cousins and blah blah blah. so we entered and just 'hello hello. happy new year!' our way through. as there were too many kids around, the elders that was giving out angbaos was confused. some were asking if we have received the angbaos yet. watched iron man while the older generation gambled.

cny day2: last to wake up again. hehe. watched tv and slacked around. played patapon. pata pata pata pon. pon pon pata pon. chaka chaka pata pon. hahaha. i'm addicted to this game. went out in the late afternoon to grandma's house. cousins, uncles and aunts were there. the cousins gambled. lost some money. haha. went home after that. went out again at 10+ to meet bernard and lejun for supper. reunion supper. lol. we ate pratas. as usual, they were talking about ns stuff and i listened. walked home at 1+ with lejun from sembawang.

stayed home yesterday. slacked around doing nothing much except using the computer and playing patapon. previously, mother had bought the stuff needed for the yusheng. at night, we lao-ed the yusheng before biao booked in. went to ssdc this afternoon. woo. was a bit excited. it's my first practical lesson. i drove the car. very fun. can only drive in the ssdc circuit because i havent taken the basic theory test and obtain the provisional driving licence. the car stalled a few times. mainly because i released the clutch too much. so funny. had the start the car again. practised braking, steering, changing gear. i'm looking forward to tmr's practical lesson. yeahyeah.

ABT reunion dinner

had a reunion dinner with fellow badminton team mates and 4 other friends of ABT on thursday. 15 ppl. i was late. haha. paiseh paiseh. we lao-ed yusheng. quite fun. last year we had a reunion dinner together as well. but this time there was more people. the more the merrier. ate. talked. the girls dug up jeremy's darkest secret. hahaha. we had a good laugh. poor jeremy. kenna suaned that night. shant talk about his secret here. if not he will kill me. hehe. went out yesterday night. played pool with nicholas and wilson. nicholas had this sudden urge to play pool. tmr will be cny eve le. steamboat for 团圆饭 if i'm not wrong. yeahyeah.

chinatown

cycled, swam and ran. went back to ssdc on several days to practise on the questions for the final theory test. had a cdac outing on sat. went around yishun area with the kids to play treasure hunt. had bbq at the yishun central park. so many mentees and mentors were around. those kids who graduated came back as well. left early during the bbq. took a shower and cycled to layjia's house. we were having a class gathering at her house. but only a few people turned up. left at about 11.30pm to meet bernard and lejun for supper. we ate and talked until 2.30am. bernard walked home. lejun took a cab home. didnt took cab with lejun. had my bicycle. so i cycled home. they should be somewhere in the jungle in tekong now. field camp this week. i bet they will be very cui3 (tired) when they book out this weekend for cny. cant wait for them to tell me more stories about the life on tekong. hahaha. yesterday, went out to chongpang at night with father and mother to shop for cny things. walked around. in end end mother bought only red packets. hahaha. the shops were closing le. went for supper and then back home. man. i want to go to chinatown. go there to soak up the cny atmosphere. yeahyeah.

shopping

went shopping with ronald today. first to causeway before heading to queensway shopping centre. ronald needed a pair of running shoes. havent been to the shopping centre for a long time. was a bit surprised when i saw the many clothes shops instead of shoe shops. it wasnt like this previously, was it? hmm. bought more clothes at queensway and ronald bought his running shoes. woo. we both spent quite a lot of money. dont think i'll be spending much money on clothes again since the new clothes for cny had been bought. went to ikea in the late afternoon. wandered around. saw this bedroom. the layout was quite unique. next time when i have a house, i'll go ikea to shop for the furniture. hahaha. it was fun to visit ikea once in a while. you get to think about how you want your house to be in the future. yeah. me and ronald then slowly walked back to the mrt station. was shocked that my wallet wasnt with me! man. i lost my wallet. so we made our way back to ikea. heng ah. someone had found my wallet and returned it to the security room or smth like that. the security guard was saying they had made a public announcement just now but i didnt hear it. so lucky to find it back. should have asked the security guard for the contact of the person who found my wallet. wanted to thank him or her. thank you very much! i must be careful in the future. cannot be so careless le.

exercise.

exercise to keep fit and healthy. this is what i had been doing for the past few days. sat morning went to play basketball with pingkee. jumped here, jumped there. attended cdac in the afternoon. there were a few new mentors. did spring cleaning. threw away those unwanted things. wayne prepared a 'discovering my desire profile' test for all of us. it's quite accurate. but must be truthful when doing the test. it allows you to know yourself better and improve on your character or areas which you are weak in. very interesting.

met lejun and aloysius on sunday morning to swim. i'm still learning how to swim. lejun left early to meet gf. so me and aloysuis continued to stay at the swimming pool for a while. bernard came later and we had lunch at northpoint before going to safra to play pool. reached home in the afternoon and slept. i was tired. my legs were a bit sore. jumped too much on sat.

woke up early on yesterday morning. was going swimming again with aloysius. this time was at safra. i finally can swim a bit le. there's always something wrong with my kicking. previously i couldnt move forward just by kicking. now i can kick and move forward. at last. i must swim more. haha. ate at a coffeeshop opposite safra. played pool for a while after lunch. reached home at about 5. put down my bag and immediately went out. the weather was good. i had the urge to cycle. and so i cycled to woodlands. somewhere near kranji. cycled back. went to sembawang park 1st and then back home at 7+pm. tiring but fun. my whole body is aching.

this morning i overslept. rushed to ssdc. practised the theory questions. booked other slots for thursday. came home and slacked for the whole day. cycled to aloysius's house just now. had to borrow a memory card reader from him. but seems like it's not working. i plan to go swimming on thurs or fri. and also go jogging soon. yeah. that's about it. shall go eat my mee goreng now. haha.

busy week

a busy week. was out almost every day.

mon: went to jj's condo to swim. or rather to learn how to swim. the water was very cold. so me and jj ended up lying and sitting beside the pool. yunrui is super zai. he swam, swam and swam. had lunch with the both of them before i went to dhoby ghaut to meet my sec4 classmates. had a mini gathering at mind cafe. only a few of us came. layjia, jody, alfred, yiling, jiaqian, dev, weiching and nicholas. there was this game called 'snorta' i think. very very fun. haha. had dinner at madjack. played pool for a while at paradiz centre.


tues: had another gathering. this time it was with my og1 (aurata) mates. only 5 ppl, including me. so i met up with alvin, shanly and gabriel. suxin had classes, so she came later. the four of us went to a small playground and played cards. learnt two new card game. one is called diamond 7 and another one is called... eh. i dont know. haha. but i can still remember how to play. yeah. after suxin came, we went up to the cinema and bought tickets for ponyo on the cliff by the sea. had dinner. watched the movie. the show was not bad. quite nice. after the movie, alvin, gabriel and me went to amk lan shop to play dota. 2 years. i havent played that game for almost 2years! had so much fun that night. aiya. we should have took some photos. wasted.

wed: went out early in the morning to get an atm card. came home and was not feeling very well. down with fever. ate panadol. drank a lot of water. spent much time lying on my bed. had a hard time trying to sleep at night.

thurs: still not feeling very good. but i still went out. had a job interview. i didnt want to cancel it. took train to dhoby ghaut. the interview is at shopping shopping centre. everything went well. i should be starting work on 2nd or 3rd feb. haha. still can slack for a month. yeah. on my way back, decided to go yck to sign for driving course. accidentally booked a theory trial test which was on fri, tmr. no choice but to go home and read the basic theory booklet. -.-

went out today for the theory trial test. i failed. -.- 43/50. needed 45/50 to pass. but it's not bad le. considering i spent only one day to study. 自我安慰. hahaha. i must study hard. need to pass this trial test in order to book the actual test. woo. so exciting. will be going to amk to play basketball with pingkee tmr morning. afternoon going to cdac. have not been going to cdac for some time. will get to see everyone there tmr. and i finally created a facebook account. yeah.

fever

i'm down with fever. shall update when i feel better. but first, i have to create a facebook account in order to get the photos we took during the past gatherings. there's a job interview for me tmr morning. i'm not going to see a doctor. panadol + water + rest. hopefully i'll be ok by then. yeah.

YANXIONG'S WEDDING!

fri: went out in the late morning. supposed to meet bernard at 1040. but i overslept. haha. so we pushed back the time a little. travelled to bishan. the girls went to book the volleyball court but was unsuccessful. we had lunch at j8 before heading down to some badminton court beside catholic high school. it started raining. so we shifted across the road to a place where there's shelter. played volleyball for a while. ended up playing cards. pig. i'm a lvl8 pig. oinkoink. haha. went for steamboat at novena. ah yes. novena. hahaha. went back to yishun for pool with bernard and aloysius. walked back home at 11+.

sat: woke up earlier than yesterday. haha. went out with my sister to cousin's house. the bride already at his house le. offered tea to cousin and cousin in law. ate buffet. went home in the afternoon. ronald (another cousin) came over. stayed for a while before my brother, ronald and me changed and headed to furama riverfront to help out with the wedding dinner. had fun. we went on stage to yumseng. we yumseng-ed so loudly. throat felt a bit pain pain de. screamed too loud le. haha. shiok man. drank both red wine and beer. who's going to be the next to get married? hahaha. it must have been a tiring day for my cousin and cousin in law, but no doubt today must be one of the happiest day for the both of them. yeah.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

i spent my last day of 2008 at pa's fish farm in limchukang. together with many many people. very close relatives, close relatives and not so close relatives. haha. actually it was because there is this prayer thingy that we have to go through once every seven years if i'm not wrong. reached the farm in the afternoon. some of my cousins were already there. initially, it was a bit boring. but soon, more and more people came. by about 10pm, there were many people. a lot of small kids. probably around 20? the place was like a child care centre with little children running here and there. i celebrated the new year with my cousins. we gathered and brought the box of party poppers to the gate of the farm. didnt really count down to 2009. i think we missed the time. hahaha. so we just popped, played around and took some photos. so fun to be with them man. the prayer started at about 1am. and lasted till 4+, 5am. everyone was so tired. many went back home after it. i stayed with some cousins. slept from about 6am to 8am. went out for a walk to another farm nearby, wandered around and came back. those who went home came back too. though the prayer was over, there was still a 10-course lunch. 13 tables. many many many relatives came. more than last night i guess. the offerings for the prayer were distributed and soon many left. we, being the host, stayed behind to clear the stuff and left only in the late afternoon. reached home at 6+ just now. so tired.

yesterday's countdown was totally awesome man. at limchukang. ulu ulu place. it had been a long time since i last went there. everything is still the same. nothing has changed much. the cousins have become closer than before. yeah. there's plan to have a singing session together in feb. i'll be meeting them again 2 days later. coz one of them is getting married. my 好表哥. the couple have been together for 8 years since poly. woo. looking forward to 3rd. we gonna have fun together man. tmr will be fun too. meeting up with 1007 to play volleyball. yeahyeah.
